Nioh 3: Sudama Merchant Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
In Nioh 3, finding all Sudama Merchant locations is the cornerstone of the game’s unique trading economy. These purple-hued, skull-wearing spirits have evolved far beyond the simple "drop and swap" mechanics of previous games. In this installment, Sudama Merchants act as permanent, high-value vendors within the open world, specializing in the trade of Yokai Teardrops.
Establishing a connection with these traders is the only way to acquire some of the game's most restricted upgrades, including Memorandums, Ninja’s and Samurai’s Texts, and Soul Cores.
To secure the inventory of a Sudama Merchant, you must master the acquisition of their preferred currency. Yokai Teardrops are the lifeblood of this unique trading system and are typically obtained through:
- Successfully following a Scampuss to its final resting spot.
- Solving regional Myths and environmental puzzles.
- Defeating the formidable Crucible Wraiths that haunt corrupted zones.
Unlike standard Sudama, these Merchants offer a fixed yet rare inventory that supports your high-level character progression. Merchants are often the only source for specific Secret Skill Texts and Smithing Texts that do not drop from traditional bosses.
Because Sudama Merchants do not appear on your map until you are in proximity, finding them across the vast landscape can be time-consuming.
